Man flown to hospital after ATV accident

— Police dispatchers reported that a man was transported via helicopter to Mount Nittany Medical Center after an ATV crash left the him unconscious and with a broken femur Friday.

Dispatchers said a call came in around 4:50 p.m. of a man in the roadway in the vicinity of Beech Creek near Clarence and Tennessee roads in Show Shoe Township.

Dispatchers said the man was unconscious for about three minutes but woke up when police arrived on the scene. Police reported the victim was wearing a helmet when he went off the road adjacent to the creek.

Around 5:15 p.m., a medical helicopter was cleared to land at Reese’s Truck Stop near Interstate 80 in Snow Shoe.

No other information was immediately available.
