Penn State men’s basketball: Reports say ex-Lion Marshall to play at Arizona State

From CDT staff reportsJuly 9, 2013

Former Penn State guard Jermaine Marshall has decided to transfer to Arizona State, according to CBS Sports and several other news outlets.

Marshall had left the Nittany Lion program after this past season, saying he would turn professional and play overseas, but recently changed his mind and was looking to move to another Division I program. He planned to finish his degree this summer, making him immediately eligible to play this coming season.

Marshall, who has one season of eligibility remaining, averaged 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game last season. He was second on the team behind D.J. Newbill and sixth in the Big Ten in scoring average.
