Teen killed in Blair County crash

From CDT staff reportsJuly 9, 2013

— An 18-year-old passenger was killed Monday in a two-car crash on Kettle Road in Tyrone Township.

A 1998 Nissan Altima driven by Susan Montero Schezzini crossed the center line and struck a 2004 Chevrolet Impala driven by Kaylee Danielle Harper, 26, of Tyrone.

Jordan Dean Dodson, a passenger in the Altima, was killed in the crash.

Schezzini, also 18, suffered what state police called severe injuries. Two other female teens were also in the Altima, and a police report did not list their conditions.

Two children in Harper’s vehicle suffered no injuries, police said.

Police said Schezzini’s vehicle was traveling south at a high rate of speed when the car slid sideways into oncoming traffic at 7:25 p.m.

The right rear corner of Schezzini’s car struck the left front corner of the Impala, police said, which caused the Altimi to roll over several times before coming to rest on its roof in a field.

Harper’s car also rolled onto its roof, in the northbound lane.
