VFW Teener League: Bald Eagle Area pummels Huntingdon, tops Mount Union

Bald Eagle Area rode a heavy offense and relied on a steady pitching effort to beat Huntingdon 16-2 in VFW Teener League 13-14-year-old All-Star action on Sunday.

Tanner Kresovich led Bald Eagle Area with three hits while Jordan Jones tripled and Ty Walker and Luke Jozefick doubled.

Evan Hamm doubled to lead Huntingdon, which had just four hits.

Bald Eagle Area pitcher Brian Egan was effective despite loading the bases with no outs in the third inning. Egan got out of the jam and finished with four strikeouts.

Bald Eagle Area and Mount Union were tied 1-1 in the sixth inning when the Eagles put up seven runs en route to the victory.

Tanner Kresovich punctuated the explosion with a two-run home run to left field. Ty Walker pitched a complete game win.

The teams also completed a game begun Monday with BEA winning 10-4 after putting up eight runs in the fourth after trailing 2-1. The Eagles used four walks, two hit batters, two singles and a Kresovich double to blow the game open.

Brian Egan earned the win.
