Allen Robinson became the seventh Penn State football player to be added to a preaseason college football award watch list on Tuesday.

Robinson, the 2012 Big Ten Receiver of the Year, was added to the Biletnikoff Award watch list.

Sponsored by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc., the Biletnikoff Award is presented to the most outstanding receiver in college football.

Former Penn State All-American Bobby Engram was the last Penn State player to bring home the award named for the former Oakland Raider receiver.

In a short time, Robinson, a junior, has emerged as one of the nation’s most reliable receiving threats. He helped open up Bill O’Brien’s pro-style offense with 77 catches for 1,013 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.

The Orchard Lake St. Mary’s (Mich.) product beat Engram’s previous mark of single-season catches by 14.

The TQB Foundation, Inc. will announce award semifinalists on Nov. 18.
