State College police investigate Dumpster arsons

State College police Lt. Bradley Smail said Saturday that police are looking into alleged arsons at two Dumpsters behind Bed Bath & Beyond and Dickey’s Barbecue Pit on Benner Pike.

Smail said police got a report of a Dumpster on fire behind 333 Benner Pike around 12:24 a.m. Later, police said they got report of another Dumpster on fire behind 313 Benner Pike.

“We’re keeping patrol up to check in the area,” Smail said.

There are no suspects.

Alpha Fire Company extinguished the fires. No one was reported injured.

Smail said the Dumpsters were damaged.
