From CDT staff reportsJuly 31, 2013

State College police said Tuesday they identified a woman involved in a retail theft July 10 at Wal-Mart on Benner Pike.

Police said the woman’s name could not be released until all charges were filed.

Police said the suspect, in her 20s, removed video game items and concealed them in her purse on several occasions then left the store without making any purchases. Police added that the suspect’s “handbag appeared to be full.”

Police said that the woman had entered two separate store restrooms for an extended period of time. Empty packages of stolen items were found in both restrooms, police said.

As she exited the store, a gray Honda Fit picked her up in front of the store, according to a police report.
