Philipsburg woman accused of forgery, theft

A Philipsburg woman has been charged with forgery and theft, police said Friday.

Darcie Sue Womer, 23, allegedly used business checks from Ryen Realty LLC, of Philipsburg, and forged the victim’s signature on 11 different checks.

State police at Philipsburg said the checks were cashed between July 3 and 23.

In all, $3,685 was stolen, police said.
