Penn State football: New ticket packages announced for alums, Nittany Lion Club members

From CDT staff reportsAugust 17, 2013

— Current and former Nittany Lion Club members, recent Penn State graduates and former student-athletes will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to a select number of Penn State football games this season through three new programs.

The Tried and True Ticket Program is for former Nittany Lion Club members and current NLC members who do not have 2013 season tickets. Those people may purchase tickets for the Michigan (Oct. 12), Purdue (Nov. 16), Eastern Michigan (Sept. 7) and Kent State (Sept. 21) games in Section EH. The Recent Graduate Ticket Program is for alumni from the past five years for a four-game ticket package to the same games.

The Varsity ‘S’ Club/Alumni Challenge Ticket Program is for former student-athletes who made a donation to Penn State Athletics in the past fiscal year. They may purchase tickets to games against Nebraska (Nov. 23) and Central Florida (Sept. 14, 6 p.m.).

Approximately 90 percent of 2012 Nittany Lion season ticket holders have renewed their seats for the coming season, according to the university, while about 4,100 new season tickets have been sold for the 2013 campaign and more than 7,800 new season tickets have been sold the past two years.
