Second-year head coach Karin Johnson will lead the State College Little Lions field hockey team looking for a second straight competitive season. The Little Lions went 15-4-1 last year and won a District 6 crown. Johnson will have to find someone to replace Lauren Bonness, who graduated and will be playing at Michigan State.

State College is a young squad with only three seniors on the team.

“I am incredibly excited for the direction of our program,” Johnson said. “We will have a young team this year, but (we have) incredible work ethic and dedication from the senior class as well as the upcoming sophomore and junior classes.”
