State College, Penn State to hold sixth annual LION Walk

State College Borough and Penn State will hold the sixth annual Living in One Neighborhood Walk from approximately 5:15 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Volunteers from both entities form groups to walk borough neighborhoods, welcoming students and distributing information on borough ordinances, contact numbers for human service organizations and information about personal safety. The event aims to provide outreach to students and permanent residents about meeting their neighbors and acting responsibly and respectfully.

The groups will walk through the Highlands, College Heights and Holmes-Foster neighborhoods. Walkers will include Penn State President Rodney Erickson, Mayor Elizabeth Goreham and the Nittany Lion.
