Police: College Township man charged in four separate Wal-Mart burglaries

A College Township man is facing felony charges in four separate retail theft incidents from the Benner Pike Wal-Mart dating back to June 15, State College police said.

Gary Anderson, 41, was charged with four counts of felony retail theft, a felony count of receiving stolen property and a summary offense of driving with a suspended license over four separate incidents. He has two prior retail theft convictions.

Police said he stole a $125 airbed cot on June 15; a $448 HP computer and a $228 Shark vacuum on July 18; a $278 Samsung Surround Sound System on Aug. 21; and a $278 Samsung Home Theatre System, a $198 JBL Sound Bar and a $30 Manhattan area rug on Monday.

Anderson is being held in Centre County Correctional Facility after being unable to post $5,000 bail, according to court documents. His preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 4.
