Philipsburg hit-and-run damages vehicles

— A hit-and-run crash in Philipsburg between Tuesday and Wednesday left no one injured, but damages two cars, state police said Friday.

The incident happened on South Fourth Street near the intersection of East Presqueisle Street between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 11:30 Wednesday, according to police.

Patrick A. Rothdeutsch,, 64, of E. Presqueisle St., was not in his car when a second car, whose driver wasn’t known, was heading south on S. 4th St. and struck Rothdeutch’s 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche, damaging the rear bumper, police said.

The driver fled the scene.
