From CDT staff reportsAugust 31, 2013

— State College swept the doubles matches and took two of three in singles in a 4-1 Mid-Penn Conference win over Chambersburg on Friday.

Juliette Greer and Amy Poissant picked up the singles wins in straight sets. Lacey Schroeder and Cassie Walter also won in straight sets in doubles, while the team of Caitlin McGlaughlin and Poissant prevailed in three sets over Ashlyn Bubak and Karleigh Trgovac.

“Chambersburg is a solid team and it was nice to see our girls step up today and get the win for State College,” coach Jane Borden said. “It was very hot and humid, but the girls kept their focus and played well.”

The Lady Little Lions (4-1) are back on the court for a battle with Mifflin County on Wednesday.
