Cross country: St. Joseph’s ninth at Bear Mountain

— The St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy boys’ team placed ninth at the 13th annual Bear Mountain River Run on Saturday.

Abingdon won the meet with 45 points. St. Joseph’s had 216.

Brian Hackman’s 24th-place finish led St. Joseph’s as he finished the 3.1-mile course in 18:24. Other St. Joseph’s finishers were Eli Urban (40th, 19:20), Michael Peters (50th, 20:07), Stephen Forstmeier (66th, 21:23) and AJ Youngmark (97th, 35:11).

St. Joseph’s did not field a full girls’ team, but had three finishers — Grace Cousins (32nd, 24:58), Page Barnett (53rd, 28:20) and Liz McNitt (55, 28:35).
