Girls volleyball: Penns Valley rolls at home

— Chelsea Emel’s 10 kills and four aces led Penns Valley to a 25-16, 25-17, 25-18 victory over Central Mountain on Tuesday to open the Lady Rams’ season.

Bethany Miller added four aces for the Lady Rams, who host Philipsburg-Osceola Thursday.

“I thought the girls played well,” said head coach Sei Hee Hwang after earning a win in her debut leading the Lady Rams. “It was their first league game and I’m told the first time beating Central Mountain in straight sets.”
