Girls’ soccer: Bellefonte’s Miller gets 100th win

— Bellefonte girls’ soccer coach Stacey Miller got her 100th career victory as the Lady Red Raiders thumped Tyrone 5-1 on Wednesday.

Morgan Brooks scored a pair of goals for the Lady Red Raiders (1-2).

Brooks’ first goal was the only score in the first half, but the contest loosened up in the second half. Madisen Paige and Ashleigh Turner netted goals in the first seven minutes of the second half to push Bellefonte’s lead to 3-0. After Marissa Panasiti scored for Tyrone, Brooks and Taylor Lair closed out the scoring for the Lady Red Raiders.

Mara Dreibelbis had an assist for Bellefonte. Goalie Nicole Peggs stopped six shots.
