State College police receive $40,000 grant

From CDT staff reportsSeptember 7, 2013

The State College Police Department received a $40,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board as an initiative to reduce underage and dangerous drinking.

Police said this grant funding would be used to continue the departments’ “Source Investigation Project” that focuses on finding a person or facility that is responsible for providing alcohol to minors.

The department is also partnering with Penn State’s University Health Services and the Community Help Center and Communities That Care to help educate the public on the dangerous of underage drinking.
