Boys’ soccer: Little Lions, Herd tie

September 9, 2013

— State College and Carlisle played 100 minutes of soccer Saturday but could not get a winner as the teams played to a 1-1 draw.

Sid Ewell put the Herd in the lead midway through the first half with help from Martin Riggins, but the Little Lions’ Will Edwards answered with an assist from Kevin Rahn with just under 10 minutes left in the first half to close the scoring.

The teams also were deadlocked 9-9 in shots, with State College’s T.B. Hunter making five saves.
