DUI roving patrols net 5 arrests this past weekend

Five people were arrested on DUI charges this past weekend as a result of the Centre County Alcohol Task Force’s roving patrols, police said.

Officers from Ferguson, Patton and Spring township police departments participated in the DUI patrols. The names of those arrested were not available.

Officers cited two people with underage drinking, issued 32 traffic citations and gave 49 warnings for various violations.

The task force’s enforcement coordinator, Ferguson Township Sgt. Ryan Hendrick, said additional patrols will be conducted all year.
