3 students face charges after fight in Penn State dorm

From CDT staff reportsSeptember 9, 2013

Three Penn State Altoona students are accused of trespassing in a residence hall after one of them got into a fight Friday night and punched a man in his ex-girlfriend’s dorm room, university police said.

Christopher Ramos, 18, of Hopelawn, N.J., told Penn State police he wanted to talk to his ex-girlfriend while visiting the University Park campus for the football game. Police said Ramos’s two friends — Raymond Lesko Jr., 19, of Latrobe, and Tatman Chio, 18, of Philadelphia — first went into the ex-girlfriend’s room, and she told them to leave.

Police said Lesko and Chio left only to return with Ramos, who refused to the leave the dorm room. The woman’s friend got in between Ramos and his ex-girlfriend, and that’s when police said Ramos punched the friend several times.

Ramos was charged with felony burglary, trespassing and misdemeanor assault. Lesko and Chio face felony counts of trespassing. All three were released on unsecured bail and are due to appear for a preliminary hearing next week.
