Penn State swimming: Ceppa to lead Nittany Lion divers

September 11, 2013

— Dennis Ceppa was hired Tuesday to coach Penn State’s divers under the Nittany Lions’ new head coach, Tim Murphy.

Ceppa comes to State College after four years as the diving coach at George Mason, where he twice earned Colonial Athletic Association Diving Coach of the Year honors, and eight seasons before that at Rider.

“Dennis Ceppa has a proven track record,” Murphy said. “His divers perform at the highest level in the sport. Most recently one of his divers competed at the World Championships.”

Ceppa is a graduate of the College of New Jersey.
