PSU trustee Lubrano first to confirm participation in Conklin's western Pa. hearing on university reform proposals

STATE COLLEGE, Sept. 12 – Centre County state Rep. Scott Conklin said today that Pennsylvania State University trustee Anthony Lubrano will attend and participate in his upcoming public hearing. The hearing is designed to openly discuss Conklin's multi-bill reform package.
"I am delighted Mr. Lubrano will be joining me in the western end of the state for this public event," Conklin said. "Hopefully more trustees will see the value and importance of gathering as much public input as possible from around the state and sign on as well."

The hearing will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 at the Penn State Greater Allegheny Campus, 4000 University Drive in McKeesport. The hearing will be held in the Ostermayer Room, which is located within the Student Community Center.

"The goal of my proposals is to increase accountability and transparency within the board, in addition to restoring the public's pride in our university," Conklin said. "In order to do that, we need to hear from students at every Penn State campus, their parents, community members, and every board member."

Lubrano is a 1982 graduate of PSU. He is the founder and president of A.P. Lubrano & Company, Inc. Lubrano was elected to serve as a board member in 2012 and his current term will run through 2015.
