Scholastic Boys’ soccer: Rams blanked on road

September 15, 2013

— Despite leading in nearly every statistical category, Penns Valley fell to Mifflinburg 1-0 on Saturday.

The Rams outshot the Wildcats 15-12 and led in corner kicks 11-4. Ben Krupp even had one more save than Mifflinburg’s goalkeeper. However, Andrew Leitzel’s goal at the 43:30 mark was the difference.

“We had nice control in the midfield, but we couldn’t finish the ball,” Penns Valley head coach Scott Case said. “We could not put a ball in the net.”
