State College police: Two charged after fighting with officers

Two people were charged with 12 total counts Saturday after they resisted arrest and assaulted police officers, State College police said.

David Knepp was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault, two misdemeanor counts of simple assault, one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest and two summary offenses of harassment. And Crystal Metheny was charged with one felony account of aggravated assault, one misdemeanor count of simple assault, one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest and two summary offenses of harassment, according to court documents.

Police said officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct just before midnight Saturday and when they arrived, Knepp and Metheny began to fight with them. No officers were treated for injuries.

Both remain in Centre County Correctional Facility after being unable to post $50,000 bail each. Preliminary hearings are set for Sept. 25.
