Police withdraw warning over photo incident

From CDT staff reportsSeptember 16, 2013

State College police have retracted a warning they issued about two men taking a picture of a child in Lemont and have said there is no threat to the community.

The incident happened Sunday afternoon, and the child’s family reported it to police as suspicious.

Police said they confirmed Monday that the men were employees of the Centre Daily Times and determined that “no threat exists in this incident.”

The CDT employees were in the area performing job duties. Upon learning that the incident was being investigated, the employees immediately contacted police.
