PARK RIDGE, Ill. — Penn State’s Brittany Grzywacz was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
The senior, earning the award for the third time in her career, anchored a defense that posted wins over Lock Haven and No. 3 Princeton — the latter halted a 17-match win streak for the defending national champions. In the first match, the Eagles had only two shots — none on goal — for the entire match.
Penn State will host Delaware on Friday.
