Women’s basketball: Wright, Bentley honored by WNBA

Former Penn State players Tanisha Wright and Alex Bentley were honored by the WNBA on Friday with postseason honors.

Wright, a veteran guard for the Seattle Storm, was named to the All-Defensive team for the fourth time. Wright averaged 3.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game for the Storm, seeded fourth in the Western Conference playoffs.

Bentley was one of three guards named to the All-Rookie team. Bentley, the only second-round pick on the squad, averaged 8.3 points, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals, for Atlanta, which earned the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
