Two men allegedly steal scrap metal from Goodwill

Two men were taken into custody Friday night after they allegedly stole scrap metal from a trash container at Goodwill, 424 Westerly Parkway.

State College police said a 45-year-old Lewistown man and a 48-year-old Liverpool man were reportedly found at 9:14 p.m. Friday loading the metal into a vehicle.

The duo reportedly told police that they thought it was OK to take the metal from the garbage.

They allegedly stole $100 worth of metal and will face criminal attempted theft charges.
