EASTON — Penn State earned its second straight shutout and third in four games, with a 3-0 victory over Lafayette on Sunday.
Brittany Grzywacz scored in the first half, and Jenna Chrismer and Whitney Reddig added second-half goals in the fourth straight win for the No. 12 Nittany Lions (5-3). The goal for Grzywacz was her fifth of the season, while it was the third of the year for both Chrismer and Reddig. Penn State has outscored its opponents 15-3 during the win streak.
The Nittany Lion defense dominated the game, as the Leopards were outshot 17-3 and did not have a single shot on goal. Kylie Licata earned the shutout.
Penn State will meet Miami, Ohio, and Indiana next weekend in Bloomington, Ind.
