September 24, 2013

— State College won four of its five matches in straight sets in a 5-0 sweep of Carlisle on Monday in Mid-Penn Conference action.

Juliette Greer was pushed in her second singles match, beating Amelia Win 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (5). Amy Poissant also won a tie breaker in her two-set win, and Cathy Badding finished her singles win in straight sets as well.

Also winning were the doubles teams of Caitlin McGlaughlin and Callan Glover, and Caroline Whitman and Cassie Walter.

“Carlisle is a very good team and we were fortunate to win all of the matches,” Lady Little Lions coach Jane Borden said. “The girls stayed focused and played until the end of each match. They finished strong today.”
