Girls soccer: Bellefonte shuts out Bald Eagle Area

— Three second-half goals gave the Bellefonte girls’ soccer team a 3-0 victory over rival Bald Eagle Area on Tuesday night at Rogers Stadium.

Madisen Paige started the scoring run 58 minutes into the contest with her sixth goal of the season, then Ashleigh Turner added to the lead six minutes later with her third goal. Kaitlyn Womer then set up Morgan Brooks with the final goal, her fifth of the year, with 2:30 left in the contest.

The Lady Red Raiders (5-4) outshot the Lady Eagles 14-5.

Nicole Peggs made five saves for her fourth shutout, while Julia Breining stopped seven shots for BEA.
