Girls soccer: State College loses to No. 1 Cumberland Valley in OT

— Storming back with a pair of second-half goals, State College nearly upended Cumberland Valley, the No. 1 team in the state, Tuesday night at Memorial Field before falling 3-2 in overtime.

Jen Falconer netted the winner 4:11 into the extra frame for the Eagles, who are top-ranked in the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association’s Class AAA weekly poll.

Victoria and Haley Crawford had the goals for the Lady Little Lions (5-4), who had a five-game win streak halted. Robin Derr picked up an assist.

Amy Elgin and Molly Stanton had the other goals for the Eagles, as the teams finished deadlocked 8-8 in shots. Caitlyn Fosnacht made two saves for State College.
