Penn State field hockey: Grzywacz earns honor for defense

September 25, 2013

— Penn State’s Brittany Grzywacz was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

The senior back scored the first goal, and anchored the defense, in a pair of shutouts last week as the Nittany Lions beat No. 16 Delaware and Lafayette. Grzywacz helped the defense surrender a total of four shots over the two games.

Penn State faces Miami, Ohio, and Indiana in Bloomington, Ind., this weekend.
