An understated photo

I drive on Seibert Road in Benner Township a lot and started noticing the colorful growth around the fence posts that keep Penn State's cows in the field, not on the road. So I stopped the other day and photographed several. As I was walking back to my car, I noticed this shot, which works because it's so understated.

If you want to get some nice fall colors, don't wait too long. I was surprised at how many more trees on Purdue Mountain had turned overnight. A light rain would help the colors, but a heavy rain might take down the leaves too soon.

BTW, I put this photo and three others in my gallery at www.berner.printroom.com. They're in the folder titled Rustic.
