Boys soccer: Bellefonte falls to Central Mountain

October 1, 2013

— Central Mountain broke open a close game with three goals in the second half as the Wildcats knocked off Bellefonte 4-1 on Monday.

Central Mountain led 1-0 at the half, but pulled away behind goals from Ry Gallagher, Daniel Brinker and Alper Saruhan. Andrew Stover scored in the second half for the Red Raiders (5-4-1). Saruhan scored in the first half for the Wildcats.

“We played a good first half,” Bellefonte coach Scott Martz. “We had plenty of opportunities score, but we just couldn’t catch a break. In second half, their speed took over.”

Matt Feldman had three saves for Bellefonte, which hosts Penns Valley at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
