Penn State basketball: Lady Lions announce schedule for TV

— The Penn State women’s basketball team is scheduled to make 14 appearances on national television in the coming season, according to a schedule released Tuesday.

The two-time defending Big Ten champions will appear once on CBS, five times on ESPN2 and eight times on the Big Ten Network. The 14 total appearances are the most in program history for one season.

The TV schedule begins Nov. 17 when Penn State hosts defending national champion Connecticut on BTN, followed by Notre Dame on Dec. 4 on the same channel. Other BTN games include Jan. 9 at Illinois, Jan. 16 hosting Ohio State, Jan. 30 at Purdue, Feb. 6 against Iowa, Feb. 20 hosting Northwestern and March 1 hosting Michigan.

The lone CBS contest has Minnesota visiting the Bryce Jordan Center on Jan. 26. The ESPN2 games include Purdue (Jan. 12), at Michigan State (Jan. 19), at Ohio State (Feb. 9), Wisconsin (Feb. 16) and at Nebraska (Feb. 24).

The Lady Lions finished last season 26-6.
