Boys’ soccer: Tyrone blanks Philipsburg-Osceola

October 2, 2013

— Philipsburg-Osceola was shut out for the sixth time in the last seven games with a 1-0 loss to Tyrone on Tuesday.

Noah D’Angelo scored the only goal of the day, with an assist from Alex Bartlett. The Eagles were outshot by the Mounties 18-11.

“We’ve done this time and time again this season,” P-O coach Shawn Inlow said. “We play good and nothing is going in the net. It’s like somebody cursed us or something. We’re getting the shots and nothing is going in. We’re getting shots from good areas.”

Mitch Winters made six saves for P-O (2-4-1) while Dominic made nine saves for the shutout.
