HARRISBURG — Luba Hristova scored twice, including one of the fastest goals in girls’ soccer program history, as State College shot past Central Dauphin East 6-1 Thursday.
Immediately off the opening kickoff, the Lady Little Lions raced down the field and forced a corner kick. Megan Reid’s service bounced around a scrum of players in front of the net, with the ball bouncing to Hristova 16 yards away for a 1-0 lead 38 seconds into the contest.
She added her second score on a second-half penalty kick. Robin Derr also scored twice, Reid assisted on three scores, and goals also came from Haley Crawford and Taylor Campbell.
Caitlyn Fosnacht made one save in the win, allowing only a goal to Courtney Eberts, as the Lady Little Lions (9-4), won for the ninth time in 10 games.
