Boys soccer: Philipsburg-Osceola edges Bald Eagle Area

October 8, 2013

— For the second time in three days, Philipsburg-Osceola earned a 1-0 victory over Bald Eagle Area — the Mounties just scored a little faster this time.

After netting the only goal right after the kickoff to start overtime on Saturday, P-O used its possession to start the game to build to the day’s lone score, with Austin Krise heading in a cross from Zack Ament 4:09 into the game.

“We were really clicking today, maybe for the first time this year,” Mounties coach Shawn Inlow said. “We had a lot of high-quality shots. We had a great run of play.”

Mitch Winters made 10 saves for his fourth shutout this year for the Mounties (4-6-1) while Alex Boyer stopped eight shots for the Eagles.
