Girls soccer: Centre County Christian Academy rolls

— Alyssa Maurer and Allison Rossman each netted hat tricks as Centre County Christian Academy netted an 8-3 triumph over Cambria County Christian on Monday.

The victory clinched a spot in the Allegheny Christian Athletic Association tournament, which will be held Oct. 17-19 at CCCA (5-5).

Maurer and Rossman each scored twice in the first half as CCCA took a 4-2 lead. Maurer, Rossman, Mary Boggie and Abby Maholic scored a goal apiece in the second half as the Lady Bulldogs pulled away.

Alexis Rossman dished out three assists, while Maholic had two. Sarah Cahill and Maurer added one assist each. Boggie and Rachel Campbell each made two saves.

“Our girls played so hard,” CCCA coach Martie Maholic said. “It was a great team effort.”
