The Centre Area Transportation Authority will make routing changes to a majority of bus routes due to campus road closures during Penn State’s homecoming parade, set to begin at 6 p.m. Friday.
The changes will be in effect from about 5 to 9 p.m.
The following routes will experience detours on campus, but will serve the majority of stops: A, B, G, HP, K, M, N, NV, R, RP, S, UT, V, W, XB, XG, White Loop and Red Link.
Stops will not be accessible on those routes at East Halls, Wagner Building, the Intramural Building, Shields, the Centre County Visitor’s Center, Hastings Road, Bigler Road, Pollock Road, the White Building, College Avenue between University Drive and Atherton Street, Burrowes Road and Pugh Street between Fairmount Avenue and College.
There will be no access to the Stadium East and Stadium West parking lots, Jordan East or the Lot 44 parking lot.
There also will not be Blue Loop or Green Link CATA service.
Those who usually pick up their buses at College and Allen are encouraged to, instead, pick up at the Pattee Transit Center on Curtin Road during the parade.
