Girls’ soccer: Derr’s goal leads State College over Central Dauphin

— Robin Derr had the only goal of the second half but she made it count as the State College girls’ soccer team held off Central Dauphin 2-1 Thursday afternoon at South Track Field.

Haley Crawford set up Derr 14:43 into the second frame for the winner as the Lady Little Lions (11-4, 11-3 Mid-Penn Conference) earned their 11th win in the last 12 games.

Victoria Crawford found the net in the first half for State College, with help from Taylor Campbell, 2:26 after Erika Simon had given the Rams an early lead.

Caitlyn Fosnacht made one save to earn the victory in goal for State College.
