Boys’ cross country: St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy picks up win over West Branch

PHILIPSBURG — St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy placed all five of its runners in the top six to beat West Branch 17-38 on Thursday.

Brian Hackman led the way for the Wolves. Hackman was the top overall runner with a time of 17:41.

Stephen Forstmeier and Eli Urban helped round out the top three for St. Joseph’s, which had Michael Peters and Ethan Fisher finish fifth and sixth, respectively.

West Branch beat Philipsburg-Osceola, who was led by Scott Yarger’s sixth place finish, 24-31.
