For the CDTOctober 12, 2013

KANE — Kevin Cleer threw three touchdown passes to Jeff Kocjancic to lead Kane (7-0) to a 50-14 non-league win over St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy on Friday.

“Jeff’s performance was unbelievable,” Kane coach Todd Silfies said.

In addition, Kocjancic returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown. Andrew Zuzek returned an interception 40 yards for another Wolves’ TD.

John English, who led Kane in rushing, added a pair of TD runs for the winners.

Kane’s Jamie Lingenfelter blocked a punt for safety.

“It was a nice test for us early on,” Silfies added. “Our defense had a great team effort.”
