One dead in two-car crash early Sunday in Huntingdon County

— A late-night two-vehicle crash Sunday claimed the life of one person on William Penn Highway/Route 22, according to state police in Huntingdon.

A driver, whose identity had not been released by police, was traveling west near Pike Run Drive just before midnight Saturday when the person’s car hit a deer, causing the car to cross the center line and crash into an eastbound car, driven by a 55-year-old man.

The first driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The second driver’s name and condition were not released by police.
