Boys soccer: Central Mountain ends Philipsburg-Osceola streak

From CDT staff reportsOctober 15, 2013

— Central Mountain ended Philipsburg-Osceola’s four-game winning streak with a 4-0 triumph Monday.

The contest was tied through most of the first half until Central Mountain struck twice within a minute on goals from Emery Watson and Morgan Walison.

“It was pretty even until the dam broke,” P-O coach Shawn Inlow said. “They have a number of guys on the edge who are really fast. Their first goal was a beautiful overlapping run from their fullback (Watson). That shook us.”

Alper Saruhan scored two second-half goals for the Wildcats, who outshot P-O 29-12. Mitch Winters had 12 saves for the Mounties.
