Girls volleyball: Bald Eagle Area edges Penns Valley

— Bald Eagle Area got a big night from its offense to crack a solid Penns Valley defense and earn the season split with the Lady Rams with a 27-25, 25-21, 25-19 win Tuesday.

Nicole Doroschenko notched 13 kills while Chelsea Eisenhuth notched six for BEA (10-5). BEA trailed Penns Valley 16-12 in the third set before Regan Dyke held serve for seven points to help lead the Lady Eagles take the match.

“I don’t think we played as solid as we could,” BEA coach Larry Campbell said. “Penns Valley was a very solid defensive team tonight.”

Dyke added 15 digs while Doroschenko notched 10. Jessica Bressler led BEA with three aces and 19 assists.
