Penn State football: Nittany Lions add TE Gesicki to 2014 recruiting class

Penn State added to its future tight end depth on Thursday as Mike Gesicki orally committed to the Nittany Lion football team.

Gesicki announced his commitment — which is non-binding until he signs a national letter of intent — on Twitter.

“I’m so blessed, thankful, and joyful to announce that I am committed to The Pennsylvania State University!” Gesicki tweeted.

A 6-foot-5, 230-pound senior at Southern Regional (N.J.), Gesicki is listed as a four-star prospect by 24/7 Sports and a three-star recruit by

Gesicki is considered the No. 2 recruit at any position in New Jersey. He is the 13th athlete to join Penn State 2014 class.

Defensive tackle Antoine White is also a Penn State commit from New Jersey.
