October 17, 2013

— Seniors made their presence felt on Senior Night for Bellefonte as it shut out Bald Eagle Area 5-0 on Thursday, moving all alone into first place in the Mountain League.

“It was the best overall night for us,” Red Raiders coach Scott Martz said. “It was the best all-around 80-minute game we’ve had and it was good for our seniors to go out this way.”

Grant Stone scored two goals while fellow seniors Matt Horner and Gage Wert had one goal apiece for Bellefonte (11-4-1 overall, 10-2-1 Mountain League). Senior Andrew Stover earned two assists.

Chauncey Blakeslee scored the other goal for Bellefonte, which took over the league lead after Penns Valley dropped Tyrone on Thursday.
